New York is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year. Called the Quadricentennial, there are hopes of establishing a coming Quadricentennial decade. At the least there are aspirations of establishing a yearly celebration of the river, communities, economic sustenance and a wider knowledge of environmental awareness. More information and planned events for the year are available by clicking on the 400th banner in the left column.

New York Rail Trail is the hub to connecting the greater Hudson Valley & the Champlain area. Connecting communities from New York City north to the Canadian border. This includes not only the physical rail trails and walkways but also the the greater Hudson Valley's Internet communities. As the web expands everyday there is a need for the connection of these communities on the Internet Rail Trail in New York State. This is the idea behind the New York Rail Trail.
